I'd like to commit a complete entry to this important announcement from Anonchair to get this information out in the open:

So there you have it, people. But what does this mean for you?

While Anonchair has not ceded his position at the project as my programmy guy, the call is out there for anyone who has enough time and expertise to get the guts of the game in working order. In light of these developments I am more than willing to bring new people into the project and finally start getting things done. If you want to take up the project, please contact me at captainfailmore (at) gmail (dot) com and we'll see what we can do.
This is the COMPLETE PROJECT FILE. Everything we've made so far appears to be in here, from Anonchair's code to my level and art. This means that if you download this file you have the ability to tinker with it however you'd like.
The project IS NOT BEING CANCELED. Nor is it going on indefinite hiatus. If anything, being able to draw some additional folks into the fray and generating a bit more attention for the project will get this thing kick-started after nearly two months of hibernation.

So that's that. I'm still on board, and if we - whoever 'we' winds up being - can get the game at least functional, I'll be here to continue adding levels to it and writing garbled feature requests. If you have any questions or requests, please post them here or E-mail me about it.

Due to unforeseen circumstances on Anonchair's end, production of the game has been delayed up until an undisclosed time. (Hopefully less than a month or so.) We're both really sorry the demo isn't up yet, but shit happens, and happen shit did.

We'll be back later, guys. No, we're not quitting the project, but there probably won't be any updates for a while. Just sit tight.

I HAVE RIDDEN THE MIGHTY MOON WORM.

Also it wasn't scurvy, just gum irritation for some gay reason. Aggressive treatment appears to have prevented the progression of further gum infection.

Anyway, I started over. From scratch. Rethought the whole level. I'm much, much, MUCH happier with what I've got so far, and after I finish the next half of the level and the first boss room, L-1-1 will be finished.

And then bricks will be shat.

I got a new lamp. It's helping me work for some reason.

Giant level chunk is a good %50 done. I'm fully aware that this is taking forever, but on the up-side, that %50 came from about three and a half hours of work. (Also, all of the finished area is not visible, and some areas are 'finished' but not polished and fully propped to my liking.) The issue I'm having of late is actually finding time to work on the level, which has been tough. Seasonal affective whatever is also hitting me like a ton of bricks, but this happy lamp and an assload of instant coffee have been keeping that at bay, thankfully.

So, yeah.

For reasons presently unknown to me, it appears that the old blog has vanished. Like, 404 vanished. Gone. Until I can uncover the horrible truth behind the demise of the old blog, here's the new blog, complete with the latest mock-up.

Sorry for the confusion! Here's hoping we can get this sorted out. Not that we've lost anything of critical importance, but it's certainly unnerving to me, especially considering that I could access it earlier this afternoon from work. I'll be keeping you guys posted.
